What data we collect

bAIby Buddy collects only what you enter: baby profile details, care events (feeds, sleep, nappies, medicine), and account credentials for sign-in.

How we store your data

All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you enable Cloud Sync, your data is securely backed up to Google Firebase Firestore under your unique user ID.

Audio & video

The cry-detection feature uses your device's microphone and camera locally only. No audio recordings or video are ever uploaded to any server. All AI processing runs entirely on-device.

Third-party services

• Firebase (Google) — Authentication and optional cloud sync
• xAI Grok — AI chat responses (only your typed messages are sent)

Your rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account & Data.
